Subject / content of the Measure

The technical challenges in the care sector are constantly increasing.

Professional practice now shows many employers that Nursing and care assistants, Health and nurses, geriatric nurses and curative education nurses must be granted subcutaneous injections.

In this form of injection, medication or vaccines are injected into the subcutaneous fatty tissue.

Injection certificate - Instruction in Subcutaneous Injection

The requirements in the care sector are constantly increasing. In the meantime, employers also allow nursing assistants to administer subcutaneous injections. This means the injection of drugs or vaccines into the subcutaneous fatty tissue.

Here, the drug administered is distributed slowly and evenly. It is preferably made on a part of the body where the skin can be easily moved and padded with fatty tissue.
